{"id":1294,"date":"2012-05-08T09:03:37","date_gmt":"2012-05-08T16:03:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mandevsidhu.com\/blog\/?p=1294"},"modified":"2012-05-08T09:03:37","modified_gmt":"2012-05-08T16:03:37","slug":"seattle-engagement-photography-capitol-hill-hiking","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.mandevsidhu.com\/blog\/?p=1294","title":{"rendered":"Seattle Engagement Photography | Capitol Hill | Hiking"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our engagement photography session began in Capitol Hill and took us all the way to the Cascade Mountains.\u00a0 I wanted these photos to capture and reflect the spirit of Kruti and Pritesh&#8217;s strong relationship.<\/p>\n<p>A few (<em>of the many<\/em>) things Kruti and Pritesh have taught me over the years:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Always push yourself to become a better person.<\/li>\n<li>Take time to reflect on who you are, who you were, and where you want to be in life. Act on it.<\/li>\n<li>If you&#8217;re out of your comfort zone, you&#8217;re doing something right.<\/li>\n<li>When life gives you a challenge, first turn to your family for guidance and advice. Trust in their support. Then kick the challenge in the butt!<\/li>\n<li>Be kind to everyone around you. Always.<\/li>\n<li>Work hard.<\/li>\n<li>Let ambition be your guide.<\/li>\n<li>A good education is always an asset.<\/li>\n<li>Relationships are like a stew. They take time and patience, and the final result will only be as good as the ingredients you put into it.<\/li>\n<li>Love and respect your family, for they are the support system for your life now, and in the future.<\/li>\n<li>Emotions are transitory and are not a good way to make decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Look inside yourself. Often.<\/li>\n<li>Have faith. Trust in faith.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I hope these photos provide a small glimpse into love of these two cool people.\u00a0 I&#8217;m so excited to photograph their wedding, and wish them the very best!\u00a0 Thanks to everything you guys have taught me.<\/p>\n<p>Okay, so I know there are a TON of pictures for this blog post, but I couldn&#8217;t help it!! really got to know each other through hiking and nature. They share a passion for the outdoors and early in their relationship, many of their deep talks happened while hiking together. Kruti trained for 1 year to climb Mount Rainier, and Pritesh did much of that with her.\u00a0 It was so meaningful for them to go through that experience together.\u00a0 To push themselves, to grow, to overcome challenges together, and to share that sense of achievement.<\/p>\n<p>We wanted to incorporate this very important element into their engagement photos.<\/p>\n<p><a session, when we were standing by the lake, there was a moment when they were embracing each other, holding each other in complete silence. It seemed like all the sounds around us disappeared and it was just the two of them. Lost in each others arms. You could feel love in the air.
