South-Asian / Indian Wedding Photography

Growing up in a Sikh family, we went to numerous Indian weddings and I used to love going; the laughter, the detail-rich ceremonies, the colors, the songs, the dancing - it was all so fun! But when we would see the wedding photos, it felt as though they didn’t fully portray the whole experience. Now that I have the opportunity to photograph South-Asian weddings, my goal is to truly capture the emotions and traditions of Indian weddings.

The ceremonies

Each ceremony at an Indian wedding not only has a specific meaning, but also a very distinct feeling. Whether it is the excitement of the baraat and milni, the spiritual harmony of the ceremony, or the sentiment of the doli, I want to create photos that evoke these emotions. It an honor to photograph so many types of South Asian weddings. I have extensive experience being involved in, and photographing, Sikh, Hindu, multicultural (fusion) and Gujarati wedding ceremonies.
