When taking photos, being involved with my couples is super important to me. Engagement sessions are an opportunity to get to know each other, and to share our stories and build connections. And it’s all of these elements that go into creating an image that truly portrays a relationship.
As we walked through old train cars, we were surrounded by a resilience that has stood the test of time, and I couldn’t help but to make a correlation to Sean and Jono. They have been dating for quite some time, and Jono mentioned a few words that stuck with me… it was the way he said it, with a feeling of triumph, “…we’ve waited a long time for this….” And I could feel the strength of their patience. Love is patient.
Soon we’ll be celebrating your wedding – it’s going to be amazing, and joyful, and I can’t wait!
Thanks for all the positive energy you brought to our session, and for sharing your love story with me- one that I hope is reflected in these photos.
While driving the other day, I heard a Mumford & Sons song, and it reminded me of the photo below….
“…we will run and scream,
you will dance with me
they’ll fulfill our dreams,
and we’ll be free”
Congratulations Sean and Jono- you guys are so wonderful together, and I’m so excited for your wedding!!

Trees. Horses. Mountains. Fields. Ocean. Architecture. Sunset. This Bellingham engagement session had it all…
…we ventured into the heartland of Whatcom County- from the ocean waters of Bellingham Bay to the horses & green pastures of the county. Having grown up in that area, it was an extra special treat to photograph there – especially with this awesome, loving couple! They made it so fun!

Thank you!
For their first date, Aman and Surina shared a glass of wine at The Purple Cafe & Wine Bar in downtown Seattle. Since then, they’ve had many wonderful times at this beautiful place. We really wanted to incorporate it into their engagement photos. I’m so happy with these photos, and wanted to give a huge thank you to the awesome, and super-friendly folks, at The Purple Wine Bar & Cafe. If you’re in the area, definitely check them out!
There was another important place that we included in the engagement session – the Great Wheel on the Seattle waterfront. One day, Aman flew to Seattle without telling Surina. He made prior arrangements to be waiting inside the wheel when Surina showed up with her sister. When the door opened, Aman greeted her with a big smile, and it was the perfect start to the evening. As they enjoyed the Seattle city view, Aman proposed to Surina!!! The entire proposal was so thoughtful, and well-planned…good job, Aman!
It was a lot of fun to spend the day with these two lovebirds. They were so excited for our session, and the energy was contagious. Thanks for being so awesome, and I’m looking forward to your wedding next year!! Congratulations! I also want to thank Joe for 2nd shooting for this session.
Thank you both for such a fun time!

Our engagement session began at Seattle Center, underneath the iconic Space needle, and then took us to a beautiful golden sunset at the Seattle Waterfront. Neeru and Avneet are the type of people who you quickly become comfortable with. It felt like we had been long-time friends. There’s something special between these two, the way she smiles when he’s near her, or the feeling of comfort they have with each other.
Photographing Neeru and Avneet was an absolute pleasure because they left me feeling appreciative of love…Of finding that person who fits into your entire world, your entire life…not just one aspect of it, but in a complete and truly fulfilling way.
Looking through these pictures really makes me smile… I mean, their smiles are so contagious…and you can see their love jump out of every frame!
Growing up in Bellingham, Neeru is a country-girl at heart. To capture this aspect of their relationship, we came to Bellingham for some really fun photos.
It was so cool to spend time with these two lovebirds, and I truly wish them both the very best! Thank you guys for being so awesome!!
