One of the things I appreciate about my childhood is that my brothers and I were always taught the importance of hard work. No matter what the task, we learned to work hard and do the best possible job we can. There was never a task that was too inferior or too superior to be done. There’s something to be said about having a strong work ethic. If you work hard and put your mind to something, you can succeed.
Growing up, the lessons I learned form the foundation for much of the work I do today. Whether I’m working at my engineering job, shooting a wedding, or helping at my mom’s tea store, having a strong work ethic brings quality and success to my tasks. I like having the peace of mind that when faced with a challenge, I stepped up and worked my hardest to achieve success. Sometimes attempts at something will be successful and at other times they will not. But being able to adapt and change is the secret to turning failures into successes.
Owen and Lisa are two of the most wonderful people I know. Individually, they bring so much “life” to any situation, and when you put them together, you’re guaranteed to laugh until your worries disappear. Everything is so easy and relaxed around them. Lisa is the person who will make you laugh no matter what the situation may be, and Owen is the person who will make the funniest, most random, yet always strangely relevant, comments. These two share a passion for church & God, and by harnessing that strength, they have built a strong and committed relationship with each other. They are SO in love! You know, you can just tell when you meet good hearted people and these two are definitely it! I’m so happy for both of you!
We had a lot of fun with this photoshoot in Seattle and both Owen and Lisa were so cooperative and lively. The brought a positive attitude and were willing to push their own boundaries to get these great shots. Many laughs and good times in Seattle! I also must give some special compliments to my good friend, Katie, for coordinating the outfits and helping so much during the shoot. Katie is an interior designer in Seattle and her vision for this shoot was exceptional!
Hawaii is a paradise of breathtaking beauty, and I was so excited to shoot all over the island. As shown below, I was fortunate to capture some amazing Hawaiian sunsets. Every beach around Oahu had something new to offer, from shave ice, plate lunch, to white sandy beaches and pineapple fields. We had so much fun hiking, laying on beaches, and eating some delicious food! It was so nice to break away from the daily grind and relax with friends, forgetting all our stresses at least for a week.
